Project Name: Westpac Institutional Bank CDA (Customer Data Administration) – Phase 1

LOCATION NYC USA

Assignment description: Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) was uses the Client Data Administration (CDA) process to onboard customer and product details for International Operations. This CDA process was predominantly manual and varies depending on originating channel and geography and uniformity was not enforced. CDA processes were labour-intensive and time consuming; involving the re-keying of data into multiple product systems with inconsistencies potentially being introduced. There was no accurate reporting on the processing of customer requests, or visibility of request progress and status without manual investigation. Hard copy documents can further be lost mislaid, introducing a further potential for operational risk.

To address this manual nature of handling work and provide traceability and tracking, Financial Market Operations has identified that a Business Process Management (BPM) solution to automate their workflow which had address their some of existing issue with the CDA process. In the phase 1, BPM had automated client and production creation workflow.

First phase of CDA have 2 complex processes (BPD): Establish Customer and Establish Product.

There are 40 coaches to support 2 complexes BPD and 3 advance integration services to integrate with FileNet. Also Out of box report is configured to meet business need. Also a custom search is development using TW search API to meet business requirement.

Contribution:

Assignment description: Canadian Division Group Retirement Solutions (GRS) has defined a program to transform its current administration system – Money Products System (MPS) using Business Process Management (BPM) technology, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Architecture (EA).

The transformation and growth of the new MPS will be incremental. Each phase will be designed to offer additional benefits and build upon a common platform. The common platform will include components such as reusable business services and centralized business processes.

First phase of MPS have 2 complex processes (BPD): Plan intake and Plan setup.

There are 60 coaches to support 2 complexes BPD and 25 advance integration services to integrate with Enterprise/Rule services. Also Out of box process portal report is configured to meet business need. Multiple tracking point and timer are configured in BPD to meet business requirement/reporting requirement.

Project Name: New York Life Service Portal

Assignment description: Service portal is intranet web portal for call center executive. This portal is developed on Websphere Portal technologies having Webshpere Lombardi as a BPM tool for process management. Portlet application interacts with webshpere Lombardi via inbound webservices.

There are three main processes which are handled in Lombardi: Beneficiary changes, contact changes and process payment. These processes will handle beneficiary changes, contact changes and process payment asynchronously by calling out bound webservices and in case of exception/failure it analyze the cause of failure and retry recoverable scenario. For all the case which are not recoverable/could not succeed, it notify to human services for manual intervention.   

Contribution:  My role is to getter BPM requirement from Business/Senior architect and transform requirement into BlueWorks design. As part of this assignment I had developed Lombardi integration services, Lombardi undercover agent (to start process from integration services), BPD and nested BPD. Couple of BPD have timer event, exception event to cater different business scenario. I had also developed coaches to unit test different state of BPD process.

 

Project Name: Prosper (Life insurance product for corporate partner)

Assignment description: Prosper is Aviva UK strategic SOA based solution for corporate partner, where services are hosted on ESB which will be consumed by presentation layer (portal). Contribution:  My role was to prepare service document after discussing with different stake holder. I had also convert service document into low level design and lead services development team.

 

HiPLUS: Hibernian Personal line insurance solution

Assignment description: HiPLUS is a GI policy admin and underwriting system covering capability for new business, MTA, renewals, finance and other back office functionalities for 4 products viz, commercial motor, private motor, travel and home products. HiPLUS application is designed on Java/J2EE based technologies and used 9 major Java/J2EE frameworks across all layers of the architecture. Complex transformation project, including integration with 17 external/internal integration systems and data migration. Design based on multi-tier architecture with use of Java/J2EE Design Patterns. HiPLUS is also integrated with WPS via task API. WPS human task is used intensively for all business work flow.

Contribution: I was involved in this assignment from Discover phase till implementation. In more than 2 year’s journey, I had played different role at different phase of project. During Functional design phase, I had played role of System analyst and Junior Architecture. As a system analyst I had wrote multiple functional use case by discussing directly with business user and had also contributed to HLD and Non function design. During function design phase, drive multiple decisions and bring it to closer. During CUT phase I had played role of technical lead and CR SPOC. As a technical lead, created multiple very complexes LLD and lead the development team. I had also individually own the cut of one of very critical module (rating system). During CUT phase I was also responsible for creating CR document and then presenting same to change control board (CCB). As CR SPOC I was also responsible for all CR estimate and to provide all clarification of estimates and changes.
During UAT phase I had played role of defect fixing manager and closed all critical and major defect to meet production get in criteria. Once project went live, I lead the production support team for a months and groom team to take the application to next level.

Assignment description: Weo is proprietary web framework of Allianz. Good thing about this framework is that end programmers don't have to write java class. And can put whole business logic in pl/sql.
 

Contribution: I was single point of contact for all WEO based issue for Allianz global. If there is any new requirement about the framework I have to incorporate it in framework. I was lead of weo support/development team.

 

I-Bagic: Offline insurance solution
Client: Bajaj Allianz General Insurance and SKI.

Assignment description: Bajaj Allianz general insurance has tie up with SKI insurance agent. SKI has big number of offices in rural area in South India. As also get connected with Internet is expensive in term of operation cost. An offline insurance solution is developed using web services, java swing, java web start, ms access and plsql. Which allow user to get connect only once in a day. The time it gets connected it uploads all the policy data to bagic server and also downloads latest application if there is any change.
 

Contribution: My role was to develop whole application along with deploying it UAT and prod server. I had also convinced the management about the security and integrity of the system.
 

Surveyor Module: Offline Solution for surveyor

Bajaj Allianz wants an platform independent interface for Galileo so that Galileo can issue Bajaj Allianz policy using their existing application and infrastructure. Keeping this is mind Bajaj Allianz had developed the web service (soap based) using java, which allow the Galileo application to issue the policy from their existing application/infrastructure.
 

ContributionMy Role was to develop server side component (webservices). Interact with Galileo development team and to assist them to implements webservices.
 

Bagic Messenger: New World messaging solution

Assignment description: Different application in Bajaj Allianz had to send message either to client or to management or to partner. Message can be either a mail or SMS (Text) or FAX. Bagic messenger provide the common interface for all the application to send message seamlessly.
